Stream Assessment Workshop - July 29th & 30th, 2010

A Stream Assessment Workshop will be hosted July 29-30, 2010, at the Hideout Hunting Lodge in Lyon County (approximately 20 miles north of Emporia off of US Highway 56 just to the west of the Admire exit on the Kansas Turnpike).  This workshop provides the opportunity for environmental scientists, engineers, WRAPS coordinators, extension agents, district managers, science teachers, NRCS personnel, etc. to obtain classroom and field experience to gain a better understanding of stream processes.  The workshop costs $200 dollars (includes meals, refreshments, and course materials) and is limited to the first 20 registrants.  Event sponsors include Flint Hills RC&D, The Watershed Institute, Wildhorse Riverworks, KDHE, Weaver Environmental Construction, USDA SARE, KSU Citizen Science, and KAWS.  For more information please see the file attached below or contact Paul Ingle at (785) 640-2645 or paul.ingle@cox.net.
